More Than Just A Happy Ending

What happened to Cinderella and the Prince after they got married? Did they really live happily ever after? Were they always happy? I guess they quarreled and had questions and insecurities in their relationship and life. They might even have contemplated on getting a divorce. Probably Cinderella’s stepfamily still kept bothering them.

What I am saying is life continues. It does not stop for nobody. Life does not stop at any point in time, happy or sad. It has its ups and downs, and this keeps on repeatedly and indefinitely as life continues.

One point: Murphy’s Law

Like what I have just said, life has their ups and downs. That is always one thing you can count on. I advice you to always prepare for the worst; don’t take life for granted because you never know what will happen next.

Another thing: What I always remember theology taught me is to see the world differently, not just spirituality, and that evil exist not to make people suffer, or label people or things as bad. Evil exists because good exists. Good exists because evil exist. In other words there is no good without evil and evil without good. Without evil, good cannot exist. Without evil there is no good. I know I am going in circles and redundant. But I just want you to grasp the idea that there is evil in the world so one could realize, see, and know good. One would differentiate good from evil; create good to overcome the undesirable, do good rather than bad. Now do you catch my drift?

So: Despite Murphy’s Law, there is always a silver lining –a rainbow after the rain, a new day after the dawn, and a relief and happiness after the pain. We must remember not to linger on pain and sadness we feel in life, but look forward to and feel the pleasures that life offers.

“Happy Ever After” is just connotation that in life’s ups and downs Cinderella and her Prince, and WE, choose to see the brighter side, be positive, be grateful, and thrive in the hardships we encounter.
